Dear WHS Families,
It's hard to believe we ending week 2 of 2nd Quarter and the days are flying by. We are gearing up for the musical, winter sports, and Thanksgiving. We had a wonderful Veterans Day celebration honoring our Veterans and continue to recognize our students academically, athletically, and artistically.
WHS Classroom Observation Snapshots:
CP Biology: Students just finished their Macromolecules Unit with a lab called "The Last Meal: A Macromolecule Lab Investigation." Students were investigating the murder of a food critic, and trying to find the killer based on the results of their macromolecule tests on the contents of his last meal.
Positive Test
Geometry students are working on their City Planner Project using lines cut by transversals and placing buildings in specified locations according to angle pairs.
WHS hosts a Veterans Day Breakfast

Student Activities:
The Robotics Club members have been preparing their robots for the competition on Saturday, November 16th (tomorrow). Students have been working on programming and improving their robots' build. Wish them luck!
FCCLLA Blood Drive: 33 pints of blood were collected and 99 lives were saved!
Interact Club Grade Level Food Drive: Final Push for the Interact Thanksgiving "Sides" Food Drive. All items are due Monday, November 18th. All canned goods/boxed food items are acceptable.
The Spirit of Giving Tree sponsored by WHS Interact Club
Next week in our main lobby, our beautiful tree will be on display! This tree will have many homemade ornaments hanging from it. These ornaments have items for those in need in our town.
DIRECTIONS:
- Take an ornament of your choosing
- Purchase the item(s) on the ornament
- Bring the ornament and the item(unwrapped if it is a physical item) to the High School Library to Ms. Esposito.
- Please remind your students to take an item, or if you happen to be in the school building, feel free to do the same.

As the crisp air of winter approaches, we are excited to offer WHS athletes the opportunity to join one of our competitive winter sports teams! To ensure clearance for the first day of practice, please complete your registration by Friday, November 22.

- Fall Sports Photos: Each athlete received a paper with a personal QR code on picture day. Please take a moment to scan the QR code to sign up for viewing the photos. You’ll receive an email notification when the pictures are ready, but remember, you must sign up using the QR code to access them.
