Mr. B
Room 203
601106 - Teen Leadership II
Students are to identify and explain the key elements of a complex event, issue, problem or phenomenon then develop a method to explore the relationships between the key elements and their personal lives. They are to gather, question and evaluate the quality of information from multiple primary and secondary sources that they researched and come up with a plan in a project format that would assist them to draw conclusions and address diverse perspectives.
Teen Leadership 2 focuses on performance tasks where students incorporated real-world, college, career and problem based scenarios related to their interest. Tasks are self motivated and required multi steps generated by the student which allowed for constant revision and reflection. Students are required to "think out of the box" and pursue learning based on interest and desire which increased their motivation. Everyday problems, issues and events are reviewed through a wide array of media including but not limited to News broadcasts, social media and published documents.
