Standardized Testing Information
In the aftermath of COVID-19, many colleges chose to go to a test optional option for admissions. However, not all schools waived testing requirements and some students may still wish to participate in standardized tests. Wondering if a school you are interested in has changed it’s testing policy? For a current and complete list of test-optional schools, click here. See the chart below for dates and registration deadlines for Fall testing opportunities. Students can register for the SATs and seniors can send test scores to schools through their Collegeboard accounts.

College-Level Courses
Advanced Placement (AP) Program
APstudents.CollegeBoard.org AP courses and exams provides students the opportunity to tackle college-level work while they're still in high school. AP courses and exams allow students to challenge themselves, explore their interests. Participating colleges, in turn, grant credit and/or appropriate placement to students who have done well on the AP Examinations held in May.
UConn Early College Experience
ECE.UConn.edu Students will receive full credit for their ECE UConn classes. All students will receive an actual numerical grade if the student achieves a 75 or higher. Any grade below a 75 will become an audit on their UConn transcript. This grading system is only for the UConn part of the course. Westbrook High School will keep the earned numerical grade the student has in the class and that grade will be reflected on the WHS transcript.
