Health Education Courses
All students are required to take and pass one full credit of Health Education before graduation. Students must register in either grade 9 or 10 to fulfill the Health 1 graduation requirement and again in grade 11 or 12 to fulfill the Health 2 graduation requirement.

Health education is a course designed to emphasize the development of interpersonal communication skills, responsible decision-making skills, self-management, analyzing influence, accessing information, goal setting and core concepts related to health education topics. The course provides a comprehensive overview of drug, alcohol and AIDS education, body growth and development, disease prevention, emotional issues facing teenagers in today’s society and effective communication and relationship skills. Each section runs for one semester.
