Hello WHS Families,
This has been a busy week with Course Selection for Grades 9-11. Students met in their individual Advisories to begin choosing their classes for the 2024-2025 Academic Year. Please know that the Powerschool Portal for course selection will be open until Friday, March 15th. During the next two weeks be talking to your children about courses they have been recommended for or the electives they are thinking about taking for next year. Don't forget to refer to the 2024-2025 WHS Program of Study and Career Pathways Guide for course information. School Counselors Ms. Jill Britton (A-K), Ms. Rachel Kurek (L-Z), and Mrs. Leslie Carson (Career and College Readiness Coordinator) are available to assist you if you have any questions regarding the course selection process.

Fun March Facts:
“March” is named for the Roman god of war, Mars. However, we think of it as the beginning of spring, as March brings the vernal equinox, the Full Worm Moon, and the return of Daylight Saving Time! March's birthstones are aquamarine and bloodstone. These stones symbolize courage. Its birth flower is the daffodil. The zodiac signs are Pisces until approximately March 20 and Aries from approximately March 21 onward.
Stay warm and dry this weekend. Spring will soon be here!
My best,
Tara Winch
